2026-2027 HUNTS

Moose and Grizzly Combo Hunt

2027 Dates: September 4-13 & September 13-22

10 DAYS | FLY-IN | TENT CAMPS

Our moose and grizzly hunts are based in the valleys and rolling hills of western Alaska. Our goal is to harvest mature bulls in the 60-74” range. You will begin your trip with flying to a small village from the Anchorage area a day or two before the start of the hunt and stay at a BnB. We’ll then fly in to our camps as the weather permits in small bush planes and set up a base camp near the air strips we use. Normally we’ll hike from our base camps to a good glassing spot or meadow unless there’s game nearby. Your guide will pack some snacks and lunch and we will plan to be out all day every day unless we find ourselves in the clouds or heavy rain. We’ll hunt an area for the duration of the trip unless you and your guide are not seeing much, in which case we may try and bump you to a different spot if the weather and airplane availability allows. When you get a moose, we will try and fly the meat and antlers out as soon as possible and leave you and your guide to continue bear hunting or return to civilization if you’d prefer. There is a relatively high population of grizzlies in the areas we hunt, sometimes we’ll see up to 6 per day.  Black bears are also plentiful. While the grizzlies in this area are not the large coastal brown bears of the Alaska Peninsula or Kodiak, we do harvest some that are 8-8.5 ft. Be prepared to hike in dense wet brush, cross creeks, swat bugs and enjoy the rain! Inclement weather on these trips is always a factor so be sure to check out our gear list so you are well prepared!

KODIAK BROWN BEAR HUNT

2027 Dates: April 24-May 3 & October 24-November 2

10 DAYS | FLY-IN | TENT CAMPS

Our Kodiak bear hunts are based out of the town of Kodiak. You’ll fly to Kodiak a day or two before we go into our camps and stay at a hotel. We’ll fly or take a boat to our hunt area as the weather permits. The landscape we hunt can range from steep hillsides to open beaches, and valley floors that are often quite wet. Waders are a must have for on these trips. Check out our gear list for some ideas of what to bring. Generally when bear hunting, we’ll hike from camp to the closest spot we can get a good view of the surrounding area. Glassing and staying relatively close to our camp to begin with is the best option, that way we’re not spreading our scent all over the place we’re trying to hunt. Patience is key on bear hunts. We’ll be packed up with everything we need for the day and ready to go if the bear we’re after shows himself and we can make a move. Often we’ll see bears cruising the beach in spring or catching salmon in a creek during our fall hunts. Kodiak bears can be large; mature boars are generally 8.5-9.5 ft, but can reach up to 10.5 ft! Deer season will be open during the fall hunts, so adding a Sitka Blacktail to the hunt can be fun! These deer make for some great camp meat. The area we hunt is a draw area, so we’ll put you in for the draw the year prior to your hunt. The application period opens November 1, and closes December 15.
